About Scott Jones:

In 2012 Scott Jones started Out Of Your Head Improv, developing classes where actors could discover how improv can be used as a tool to help create unique and dynamic performances. These classes highlight his desire to help inspire performers confidence.

Mr. Jones was born and raised outside of Atlanta, Georgia.  He attended Florida State University’s School of Theater, where he studied acting while also writing and performing stand-up comedy. He was a member of the schools improv troupe, The Whammo Players, which toured all over Florida.  Scott also studied theater in London’s West End, before graduating with a B.A. in Performing Arts in 2001.

He has studied improv at The Groundlings and The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater.  He performed stand-up all over Los Angeles, including at The Laugh Factory, Comedy Store, and The Icehouse. We worked as a performer at the Disneyland Resort acting in Snow White: An Enchanting Musical (Yes, he played Dopey).

Jones’ love for acting and improv lead him to teaching, and in 2007 he was hired by The Vonder Haar Center for the Performing Arts to teach their acting classes, as well as direct several productions. Jones helped coach the young actors on the Disney channel show Kickin’ It.  He also became a teacher for The Playground Studio run by renowned acting coach Gary Spatz.
