2 DAY ACTORS WORKSHOP

NOVEMBER 11 - 12

AUDITIONING - STEVE COULTER

Our good friend Steve Coulter will be back to help every actor find their best tools to help improve their auditioning skills.  Please take a moment to read his bio over there to the right.  You will find one of Atlanta's finest actors with much to share about the unique process he has perfected since his first role.  Check out his IMDB, the credits are way to long to list.  His writing in our industry has won him awards and the spot of head writer for Tyler Perry.  If you have questions about how it works in Atlanta, there could be no better person to ask.

Steve has taught with our studio and his program is always a favorite.  It is direct, getting to the point of what makes the difference for you and how to find the best choices in every scene.

Here is a brief description of the workshop.

Auditioning for Film & Television with Steve Coulter

There are presently over 40 feature films and television shows in production in Atlanta.  We are now one of the top 3 markets in film and television production, and there have never been more opportunities for actors here in Atlanta.  Actors from Los Angeles and New York are relocating here for work and the competition has never been higher.

Auditioning for film and television is not mysterious.  Directors and producers are looking for very specific things.  And there are very simple and specific actions an actor can take to prepare for that audition.

Actors will be taken through the audition process, with particular attention focused on self-taping. They’ll learn how to prepare for the audition, what specific steps to take when self-taping and when they walk into the room. They will also learn strategies on how to manage nervousness, and most of all, how to actually enjoy the process.  Each actor will be put on camera as part of a simulated audition.

Covered in this workshop will be the following:

Audition technique –

o   Dos and Don’ts of auditioning

o   How to Prepare for an Audition. What does being PREPARED mean?

o   Wardrobe

o    Self-Taping Tips
